Green Africa Warms Up To Commence Flight Operation With Seven New Routes

The new entrant carrier, Green Africa, Yesterday announced that it will launch seven routes to its flight network immediately the Air Operator Certificate acquisition is completed. It is going to direct connections from the commercial hub of Lagos (LOS) into Akure (AKR), Ilorin (ILR), Abuja (ABV), Enugu (ENU), Owerri (QOW)and Port Harcourt (PHC) .

The airline revealed its plans to commence flight operations from its Lagos base at the General Aviation Terminal (GAT),  to the seven cities above after completion of its ongoing Air Operator Certificate (AOC) process with the NCAA which, it said, is now in advanced stages.

Subsequently, the addition of other routes within Nigeria will be added as the value carrier scales its operations, as plans are already underway to establish two more operational bases outside Lagos to stimulate air travel and provide more options to customers, the airline stated.

The airline further states that the route launch will facilitate increased economic and trade activities within Nigeria.

Babawande Afolabi, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Green Africa said “Starting with our launch route network, we are crafting a network plan that will afford more customers the opportunity to pursue their economic interest or simply spend more time with family and friends. Our three key product offerings – gSaver, gClassicTM and gFlexTMwill afford customers the value of choice and flexibility.”

Green Africa recently received its first aircraft with the second and third aircraft expected to arrive soon. Facilities and infrastructures are now in place to support commercial, flight, and airport operations.
