NIGERIA: Airhub Airlines Secures A New Wet-lease Order With Nigeria’s Ibom Airlines

Airhub Airlines has successfully initiated a wet lease agreement with Nigeria’s Ibom Air, bolstering its presence on the continent.

The Maltese charter, wet lease, and cargo airline and a sister company of Lithuania’s Getjet Airlines has made an impressive foray into the African market by providing an Airbus A320 for Nigeria’s Ibom Air. The aircraft, registered as 9H-GTS, touched down in Lagos on August 21st, marking a milestone in Airhub Airlines’ expansion strategy. The leased Airbus A320 is a relatively youthful 13.1 years old.

Ibom Airlines Limited: A Quick Overview

Ibom Air Limited, a Nigerian carrier that began its operations in 2019, has been steadily expanding its presence in the Nigerian aviation landscape. The airline boasts a fleet of eight aircraft, with an average fleet age of 14.5 years. here’s a glimpse of Ibom Air’s fleet composition:

– Airbus A220: 2 aircraft.
– Airbus A320: 3 aircraft (including the newly leased one).
– Bombardier CRJ-900: 5 aircraft.
