NIGERIA: Anambra Airport: Air Peace Deploys Bigger Aircraft

Following the upgrade of Anambra International Cargo Airport by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Air Peace said yesterday it would deploy its new Embraer 195-E2 and Boeing 737 aircraft on the Anambra route.

The approval in a memo with reference number NCAA/AC/015/Vol. 1/22/185, addressed to the Governor of Anambra State Willie Obiano and signed by the director-general of NCAA, Captain Musa Nuhu, said NCAA has approved the upgrade after assessing facilities and personnel at the fire station in the airport and finding them appropriate and commensurate with aerodrome rescue and firefighting category 6 operation.

Following the development, Air Peace through its spokesman, Stanley Olisa, disclosed that the airline’s new Embraer 195-E2 and Boeing 737 aircraft, with more passenger capacity, will be deployed on the route, adding that frequency has been increased to daily flights for Anambra.

This is as the airline has also increased flight frequencies on specific domestic routes, including Anambra.
