The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has assured Nigerians and intending air travellers for the Eid holiday celebration, that the airports under its management are fully ready for flight operations.
FAAN made this known through a press release, issued on July, 28, to the general public, assuring airport users that necessary safety measures have been put in place in accordance with the Covid-19 protocols for the Nigerian Centre of Disease control and the port health service.
FAAN, also noted that all operational facilities are functioning optimally while security and other logistics have been upgraded and strengthened to provide maximum service satisfaction to customers, considering the expected increase in passenger traffic because of the holiday/Eid celebration.
While encouraging travellers to make necessary preparations early and arrive the airports 90 minutes before departure time, travellers are expected to comply with the airport protocols for their safety and for others.
FAAN, However, reiterated that “protocols and aids of dignitaries will not be allowed into the airports except they are travelling alongside with their principals, as only travelling passengers would be allowed into the airports.”
Also dignitaries and VIPs are urged to “please ensure compliance with airport protocols for their safety and that of others.”
