NIGERIA: IATA Award Landover Aviation School Graduates

No fewer than three graduates of the Landover Aviation Business School (LABS) received various awards and recognitions in the September 2021 Diet of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Foundation in Travel and Tourism Course.

Miss. Oluwayemi Ogunsola, the best performing graduate, made a Distinction in the September 2021 Diet of IATA Foundation in Travel and Tourism Course and was also awarded the association’s Overall Best Performer in Nigeria.

A statement by the school said that LABS had produced IATA Best Performers in Nigeria between 2012 and 2020, except in 2015.

The statement hinted that this had further affirmed LABS as one of the leading Aviation Training Centres in West Africa.

In addition, the statement emphasised that two students of LAB; Mrs. Angela Ajetunmobi and Mr. Theodore Ajetunmobi, who are mother and son, respectively, also recorded outstanding performance of Distinctions in the September 2021 Diet.

Mrs. Aduke Atiba, the Executive Director, Landover Company Ltd said these achievements attested to the high quality of training provided at the school.

She said the training is anchored by the seasoned Faculty of the School, stressing that LABS offers a conducive environment for learning and mentorship, leveraging on the practical expertise of the instructors.

She added: “I want to encourage the awardees to continue to strive for excellence, which is a key driver of success in the industry and life in general. To participate in this reputable course and come out tops requires an excellent work spirit. This is a reward of hard work and excellent performance which is our trademark at Landover Aviation Business School. We are proud of your achievement.”

Miss. Ogunsola expressed her gratitude to the school and commended its management and her family for the achievement.

She stated: “My love for the transport and tourism industry was the driving force behind my success; I like to be the best in everything I do and I strive to be the best. I will like to thank the LABS’ instructors; they were amazing and they made sure we understood every part of the course and I highly recommend LABS to anyone interested in exploring the aviation and tourism sector.”

Besides, Mrs. Ajetunmobi also attributed her success to the support provided by the LABS’ instructors alongside her determination to succeed.

“As the oldest in the class, there was a bit of pressure on me to succeed. This pushed me to study hard and I can’t thank the instructors enough because they went over and above all challenges to make sure we were well-taught and well-prepared for the exams. Their hands-on experience was really visible all through the learning process,” Mrs. Ajetunmobi said.

Mr. Tunde Adeniyi, the Business Manager Operations for Landover Company Limited, appealed to the awardees to continue to strive for excellence and attributed the success of the students to the commitment and hardwork of the instructors.
