Cooperation among relevant agencies would hasten smooth, safe and efficient airlifting of pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for the 2022 pilgrimage, the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has stated.
Its Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, Alhaji Zikrullah Hassan, made the submission when he paid a working visit to Director-General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Capt. Musa Nuhu, in Lagos, to get acquainted with necessary measures.
Hassan’s trip was in furtherance of interaction with critical stakeholders to making the pilgrimage successful.
He also met with Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Capt. Rabiu Yadudu; Director-General of the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET), Prof. Mansur Matazu; Director, Port Health Division, Federal Ministry of Health, Dr Geoffrey Okatubo and other sister agencies.
The NAHCON boss pledged that the stakeholders would leave no stone unturned in ensuring pilgrims’ comfort.
