The number of passengers flying with Russian airlines in October fell 39% year on year compared with a 32% drop in September, the aviation authority said on Wednesday, as fewer people took flights due to the coronavirus pandemic.
So far this year, 59.44 million passengers have flown with Russian airlines, a decrease of 46.1% on the same period last year, said Russia’s federal aviation agency Rosaviatsiya, citing preliminary data.
Russia grounded international flights due to the coronavirus outbreak earlier this year, but has since resumed several select routes.
