A Spirit Airlines Airbus A320neo skidded off the taxiway at Baltimore/Washington International Airport, after a powerful winter storm created slick conditions Yesterday, December 17th.
The one-year-old aircraft, with registration N916NK, had just performed an overnight flight (NK696 – from Las Vegas) when upon landing at runway 28 at Baltimore Airport it skidded off taxiway “Golf”.
A video released online showed how the aircraft came to a stop, with her nose gear on the grass.
After safely landing this morning, and entering the taxiway, the nose wheel of Spirit Airlines flight 696 slowly slid onto the grass, while attempting to turn a corner during its taxi to the gate.
According to a statement issued by Spirit, The 111 passengers and crew who were onboard the aircraft had no injuries.
