Two men have died in West Sussex following a light aircraft crash at an airfield near Chichester.
Sussex Police said a 65-year-old from Bulls Cross and a 58-year-old from Gosport died in the incident which occurred just north of Goodwood Airfield on Wednesday afternoon.
The plane crashed just north of Goodwood Airfield near Chichester in West Sussex at about 16:30 BST on Wednesday.
The Air Accidents Investigation Branch has been informed.
A spokesman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called to reports of an incident involving a light aircraft off New Road near Chichester.”
Fire crews left the scene at about 17:30, he added.
Members of the public were asked to avoid the area.
